USPS Holidays 2010 United States Postal Service Holidays Obama Credit Card Bailout Information We have all done it before. You walk out to the US mailbox to check the mail, only to realize once you are there that it is a USPS holiday and the mail isn’t running. Or perhaps you drive all the way across town to the post office to ship a package, only to find that the post office is closed. Nobody wants to waste time just because they are uncertain whether the United States Postal service is running. The worst case scenario being that something you have put off sending has now become very urgent, only to find that the US post office isn’t open. If it’s a holiday, or even approaching holiday time, and you are not sure whether the USPS has service running on that day, let’s save you the trouble of making that trip to the mailbox or to the post office by looking at the USPS holidays.

Labor Day (A day that celebrates hard working citizens and the symbolic end of summer), 1st Monday of September each year
October 12th, Columbus Day (A day celebrating the arrival of Christopher Columbus in the Americas)

December 25th, Christmas Day
Aside from these ten holidays, you can expect the USPS service to be up and running. Holidays are a great time for happiness, celebration, and remembrance. Unfortunately, along with the good times can also come a fair share of stress. Fortunately, as long as you keep the above USPS holiday dates in mind, shipping will not be a hassle. At the very least you saved yourself a trip to the mailbox and or post office when the service is not running.
